My Top 5 Spring Beauty Essentials!

Hey guys!

I thought I would do a post that I haven't really done before, i.e. not a review or haul ;) I am going to do  my Top 5 Spring Essentials. I know this is a little bit late but in fairness, the weather isn't acting very 'Spring-y' at the moment (yes snow, I'm talking about you) so I thought i would try get myself in the Spring mood by showing you my Spring essentials! :)

First up is my Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake. I have done a mini post with swatches here. This lip butter is such a beautiful strawberries and cream shade that would make any day feel like Spring! They are so moisturizing that it doesn't matter if you skip the chap stick, and they have a lovely amount of shine so you don't need lipgloss either. Perfect! This is just such a pretty, everyday colour that is perfect for the Spring <3

Next is my 17 Nail Polish in Mint Choc Chip. I have had this polish for a few years now, and it keeps making an appearance every Spring/ Summer! It is not as true a mint green as I would like it to be, but it's pretty darn close! It doesn't chip very much and only needs 2 coats to be opaque. Mint is my favourite color, if you couldn't tell so this nail polish is my absolute favourite in my collection! The next  mint green nail polish on my list is Essie's Mint Candy Apple, I know, I know, typical, but it's just so pretty!!

I don't know about you guys, but I love to be tanned. Especially during Spring and Summer! So for me, bronzer is a must. I use this 17 Instant Glow Bronzing Powder which is not too shimmery and is a good shade for my skin tone that doesn't make me muddy and is not too pale! I use this as a contour and also on my forehead and on my neck.

My hands get ridiculously dry, so a good hand cream is another essential for me. Don't want none of those old lady hands, nuh- uh! I use E-45 Hand Cream and it has worked miracles for me! One of my knuckles had actually split (gross, I know) from being so dry, and after applying the cream twice, it had almost disappeared! Love, love, love this cream!! <3

As I said before, I love being tanned so I recently picked up this Dove Summer Glow + Soft Shimmer Nourishing Lotion in Boots. It was on special for about €3.50 (bargain much?!) My mom hates the smell of the Johnson's Holiday Body Lotion so I thought this one might be a bit better hahaha :) It is thank goodness, it actually smells quite nice! After applying this two nights in a row, I've built up a not streaky, even, nice smelling glow!

Okie dokie guys, they were my Spring Beauty Essentials! I hope you liked them, and just to show you what Spring in Ireland is like, I've included a picture of what I woke up to this morning! Oh Ireland, how you confuse me!

Enjoy, xoxo, Emma

Nivea Lip Butter Review!

Hey Guys! So I'm on Easter Holidays now (for 2 weeks!) so hopefully I'll be posting more both here and on Youtube.

I thought I would do a little review about my favourite lip product this month. These little lip butters have been hyped about for a while now in the blogging community and I thought I would try one out. Boots were having a 3 for 2 offer on lip products so I bought the Vanilla and Macadamia lip butter and my sister got the Raspberry one and the same one that I got. They were around €3.

First off, the smell is incredible!

It smells good enough to eat...like a vanilla birthday cake <3 They don't taste like they smell unfortunately, as I do like lip balms to taste like something, but that's a minor detail!

They really moisturise the lips but I wouldn't recommend it for really dry, chapped lips as it isn't medicated like Carmex or Chap Stick. As they are a lip butter, they leave a buttery soft feeling on the lips and are not greasy or sticky.

The one thing I'm not too much of a fan of with the lip butter is that they do come out as a milky white shade on the lips which can actually make you look a little bit sick if you apply too much! With proper blending and smacking of the lips this isn't too bad, but I just wanted to warn you!

Overall I think it's worth the €3, if not just for the smell!

The camera didn't pick it up very well.. but it was like a blizzard outside!
I hope you enjoyed this post,
xoxo, Emma

Barry M Peach Melba Nail Polish Review!

Hello ladies!

How is everyone? Today I thought I would do a little review on this beautiful nail varnish from Barry M in the shade Peach Melba. It is THE perfect Spring colour in my opinion, pastels are in as always and it is just such a pretty pastel peach that how could you go wrong?! I applied three coats, and just to check the staying power, I didn't apply a top or base coat. It is actually quite a shiny nail varnish which looks very pretty.

The colour would look stunning with a nice tan (as I typed that, I looked at my ghost-like hands and sighed...) so it will definitely carry me through to Summer.

Feeling experimental, or bored as some may say, I decided to add on my Rimmel Matte Top Coat on my ring finger just to test it out. I loved it, so decided to put it on the rest of my fingers! Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of it :(

As for chipping, this polish is quite good. However, I find that polishes don't chip too badly on me so I'm not sure if that's an accurate statement!

Overall, I love this polish, it's so pretty and will be a spring staple for me!

I hope you liked this,

xoxo, Emma
