New Years Resolutions?

Hey Guys!

Can you believe that in a few short hours we'll be saying 'Auf Wiedersehen' to another year? 2013 has certainly been a crazy year, thankfully with more good memories than bad, and I am ready to welcome 2014 with open arms. I will be turning 18, leaving secondary school and hopefully starting my journey in college.

As most people attempt to do at the dawn of each new year, I shall try to make (and keep) some New Year's Resolutions.

1// Be Happy. I am quite a happy person, but sometimes when I'm tired from school and the mountain of study that faces me, I am not a very happy bunny. I am going to try to stay positive and look forward to the happy things .ie. summer that will cancel out the not-so- happy things ie. school :( My new mantra: Stay Positive and Be Happy!

2// Work Harder. I am a very hard worker in school, and my grades do show that, but I recently discovered another potential course that I might want to do in college, and the points required are higher than the other course I want to do. I had previously been aiming for a course for the past few years, and the points I achieved in my Christmas exams exceeded the required amount. But this new course requires even more points from me, so I really need to put my head down and work to get those points!

3// Snack Less. Despite eating quite healthily most of the time, if there is anything marginally unhealthy in the house, I am all over it before you can say 'chocolate'. My self- control in this area is not the strongest, so that is one of my New Years Resolutions, to know when to say no. I know a treat the odd time is needed, and I do indulge in that, but my self- control just needs to be just a smidge stronger.

So they are my main New Years Resolutions, I hope you didn't find this post boring and you may even have found it helpful! I wish you all a wonderful new year, and I hope you get everything you desire and more from 2014.
