Cactus Jacks, Dublin

Hey Guys!

I went out for lunch with my friends on Monday to celebrate the end of our mock exams. We picked Cactus Jacks, a Mexican restaurant near Jervis St. in Dublin. We went there last year for Valentine's Day and it was delicious, so we decided to try it out again!

They have amazing lunch deals, three tapas for €10 or a main course for €10. There are so many tapas to choose from, there really is something for everyone, so we all chose the three tapas option.

I love a good bowl of soup, and the homemade soup of the day was roasted red pepper which is one of my favorites. It came with two pieces of wholemeal french crusty bread with a fluffy, soft inside. I don't eat bread, but I just had to give it a try, and it was delicious dipped into the hot, slightly spicy soup.

I also ordered the guacamole which was infused with lime, chilli, tomato and garlic. It was served with a little pile of gorgeous, homemade tortilla chips that had such a satisfying crunch to them. They were a perfect pairing to the fresh, zesty guac.

Finally, I had the buffalo wings. I am such a sucker for buffalo wings, and boy were these good! They came dressed in a smoky barbecue sauce, and were accompanied with a little pot of blue cheese dip which I didn't touch, due to my hatred of cheese! The chicken wings were so yummy, I would go back, even if it was only to get the chicken wings again!

My friends all enjoyed their meal as well, and we all agreed to return to Cactus Jacks again, sometime soon. The staff were lovely and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and relaxed.

Check out Cactus Jacks online here. The lunch offer runs from 12pm- 4pm, Monday to Saturday.

xoxo, Emma
