Fanny Crown Debs & Prom Dresses

Hey Guys!

So as you all know, I'm in 6th year which means my debs is coming up in September- eek! I have already started looking online for dresses and I came across a website called Fanny Crown which sells all sorts of different dresses for formal occasions, form debs, to prom to wedding dresses. They have so many to choose from, so there will definitely be something you like. They even customize the dress so you can get standard sizes or a tailor made one to fit you, and you can choose the color and fabric of the dress too.

Here are two of my favorites:

Darling Bateau Pink Pearl Dress

Delicate Bateau Cream Lace Gown

As a special treat for all of my readers, Fanny Crown have given me a discount code for 15% that you can use on any of the dresses on the website. It is: TGLAMCORNERXO14.

Happy Shopping!

P.S: This post is not commissioned or sponsored. Fanny Crown kindly gave me this discount code to give to you all.

37 Dawson St. & Other Adventures

Hey Guys!

In my school the 6th years have a 'pre-debs' every year, which allows us to raise money in order to make the actual debs ticket a little bit cheaper. However as many people are still not 18, the venues are pretty strict on letting us rent them out. Because of this, our pre-debs this year was moved twice before eventually being cancelled :( So to make up for it, my friends and I decided to go out for dinner and treat ourselves a bit. A friend recommended 37 Dawson St. (the address and restaurant name are the same… slightly confusing) so we made a reservation and sat tight till Friday.

The restaurant is gorgeously decorated. It felt quite burlesque to me, very dark, with sumptuous fabrics and plush couches everywhere. Every chair is different which I think is so cute and unique. Upstairs is even better.

Upstairs is sort of like the more mature, older sister section of the restaurant, with polished round tables and thick, heavy curtains. On the walls are lovely paintings, though some are a tiny bit… out-there if you get me.

The menu has something for everyone, with options to suit every budget. My friends and I are all saving for summer, so we chose the starters which were actually very filling!

My friends chose the Slow Roasted Baby Back Ribs with 37 sauce to share and then picked the Skinny Chips as a side. They looked pretty impressive, and according to the girls, they tasted great too!

I went for something outside of my comfort zone- scallops. I've never had scallops before, so I decided to go a bit crazy and try them out. I got the Pan Seared Scallops with fennel puree, chorizo crumble and aged balsamic reduction. Fancy eh? I'm not too sure about the scallops, it's something about the texture that puts me off them a bit. I quite enjoyed the chorizo though, and I also got a side of the rosemary and sea salt house chips which were delicious!

We then went around by Stephens Green where a huge stage was set up for the Paddy's Day festival. There was a huge ceili going on, and we just had to join in and show off our Seachtain na Gaeilge moves ;)

We moved on to Murphy's Ice Cream after wowing all of the Spanish and German tourists with our 'brilliant' Irish dancing. I chose Baileys ice cream and honeycomb toffee ice cream. I hadn't had ice cream in ages so I really savored it, and it was so good!

That signaled the end of our night, and we all headed home with full tummies and sore legs from our ceili!

With the Brown Thomas doorman!

Check out 37 Dawson St. here, and you can make reservations online.

Paris Haul

Hey Guys!

My sister recently visited Paris with two of her college friends, and of course, I took the opportunity to give her a shopping list with some beauty goodies that you can only get in Paris. She returned with a little package of goodies just for me, which she placed on the dining room table for me to see when I ate my breakfast.

I have never been to Sephora as the last time I was in Paris I wasn't into makeup (shock horror!) and wasn't bothered by the beauty hall I now consider to be makeup heaven. She got me three things from Sephora which I am delighted with (you did good Becky!).

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover: The bottle looks half empty, but it's not! It has a formula that needs to be shaken up to mix the clear liquid with the blue. I've never used eye makeup remover before, and I am now a convert! This is so cool, I honestly didn't expect it to remove all of my mascara, but it does! It doesn't leave the eye area rubbed raw, or greasy which I love, obviously!

Sephora Nano Lip Liner: This was a complete surprise, but a very welcome one! I don't have a lip liner this color so I'm in love. The formula is smooth and doesn't drag on the lip. As most lip liners, it does tend to highlight any dry areas, but a quick swipe of lip balm before application gets rid of any patchiness.

Sephora Creamy Body Washes: My sister said she had finished shopping in Sephora and was about to leave when these caught her eye. They were displayed in big tubes, and she said it looked like the pipes the chocolate was sucked up in in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory! She picked me out three of the little pods, one in Toffee, one in Coconut, and one in Peony. Being the caramel fiend I am, I cracked open the toffee one. It smells like a caramel cream frappucino <3 I'm going to use it tonight, so follow me on Twitter, here to see what I think.

Macaroons:  Becka couldn't go to France, the land of macaroons without getting me some! The ones in Lauduree on the Champs Elysees were €5 each, so she went to another boulangerie and got me a box of 7 macaroons, wrapped up with a little pink ribbon. I've had one so far- they are so good! I love macaroons. Sorry I'm not sorry ;)

So that's all for today guys, I will be back tomorrow to chat to you all about a great restaurant I went to with my friends on Friday.

The Ultimate Red Lip

Hey Guys!

Today I'm here with a cracker of a product that I recently rediscovered in my makeup collection, the Urban Decay Super- Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour in Theodora. Theodora is a limited- edition shade, however they carry the exact same shade in their permanent line, called FBomb.

I got this for my birthday as part of the Urban Decay Oz The Great & Powerful Theodora Palette and to be honest, the lip crayon got lost in the back of my makeup drawer amongst my other red lip products. I had a choir competition on Friday and I thought this would be the perfect accompaniment to the all-black outfit we had to wear. I knew I would be wearing it for a long time without many chances to reapply, so I was hoping this product would live up to it's name!

It did indeed! I didn't reapply this once, and I wore it for around 5 hours and I was singing lots and drinking plenty of water! So in terms of staying power, I was very impressed, it even retained it's glossiness and did not bleed or smear. It didn't even wear off in the middle of my lips, as all lip products usually do on me. At the end of the night when I was taking off my makeup, the color looked freshly applied, which gets a huge thumbs up from me!

Check FBomb out for a major hit of glossy red color here.

Till next time,

xoxo, Emma

NARS Copacabana Illuminator

Hey Guys!

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I've decided to up my game, and I'll try to post more regularly now. Today I'm going to show you the latest addition to my makeup collection, the NARS Copacabana Illuminator. It is absolutely gorgeous!

Copacabana is a pearly pink shade that NARS carry over a range of different formulas of highlighters. As most of the products I use are powder based, I thought I would try the illuminator, a cream highlighter, just to add a bit of dewiness and glow to my look.

I simply take the tiniest dot of this on my middle finger, tap my two middle fingers together to get a bit of product on each one, and then press that on to the tops of my cheekbones. If I ever have any extra left on my fingertips, I put it on the bridge of my nose, my Cupid's Bow, and a little swipe on my eyelids. It adds such a pretty glow that is just shimmery enough for my taste. As you know, I am not one for overly shimmery products!

The packaging is pretty plain, with the tube emblazoned with the NARS logo. Nothing too fancy, which in my opinion is just fine!

I love this illuminator and it has fast become a favorite of mine, if you want to see the product in action, check out my last video.

xoxo, Emma
