Bumble and bumble Ultimate Blow-Dry Travel Set

Hey Guys!

I was at the check-out desk in Boots the other day when I saw this cute little Bumble and bumble Ultimate Blow-Dry set for just €8. Considering Bb is a pretty expensive haircare brand, and their minis are usually quite pricey too, I thought this was amazing, and of course had to pick one up. A few months ago I would definitely have said this was a bit of an impulse buy but because I chopped my locks a while ago, I have started blow drying my hair a bit more, so I will get good use out of this hopefully!

The set comes with two products; the Bb thickening hairspray and the Bb straight blowdrying cream.

Bumble and bumble Thickening Hairspray// This is a nice little product that does exactly what it says on the tin. I spray it on my hair after blowdrying, and it helps tame frizziness and just helps to keep my hair straight. It has quite an unusual scent that some may not like, but I have to say it doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't make hair crispy or look greasy and is easily brushed out with a comb. I'm not a big user of hairspray so when (if) this runs out, I'm not too sure I will repurchase.

Bumble and bumble Straight// This is part of their Straight line, and promises to cut blow drying time in half, and to make overall styling more manageable over time. I used a little pea sized amount of this in my damp hair before blow drying, and as I had never used any products like this, I wasn't sure what to expect at all! It is a lovely product that did actually make it much easier to dry my hair straight. Usually I have to go over each section of hair a few times to straighten it out a bit, but as it promises, it cut this time in half, a quality my arms were definitely thankful for. Am I the only one who's arms get so tired while blow drying?!

Overall this is a great little set, and I'm glad I finally got to try something from Bb. I will definitely be adding a few of their products to my birthday wish list!

Question of the Day: Have you tried any of Bumble and bumble's products?

Hey Guys!

I filmed a little OOTD for you all yesterday after spending the day in town with my sister, Rebekah. We got lunch in Rustic Stone, a deliciously healthy restaurant and then ate dessert, a fro yo from Yogism, in St. Stephen's Green because like a very bad Irish person, I had never been! Here are all the outfit details:

The Pre- Party Pamper

Hey Guys!

So, I am going out to an 18th birthday party tonight, and as I got off early from school thanks to the Easter Holidays starting, I thought I would treat myself to a little pamper evening. I thought I would let you all know what I do when I want to treat myself a little bit!

1// Shower- Pretty self-explanatory, I walked home from school so I wanted to freshen myself up a bit. I washed my hair using Aussie Shampoo and their 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner (LOVE), my new favorite hair combo.

2// Exfoliate & Moisturise- I exfoliated my arms, legs, chest and feet with my Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life body exfoliator, focusing on the drier areas like my elbows and knees. I rinsed this off in the shower. I then moisturized my body using my Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter, a gorgeously thick body butter that will help get rid of the dry areas too, and also the return the moisture that the exfoliator removed.

3// Shave- I used my Gilette Aloe Vera shaving gel that turns into a white cream when you rub it onto legs. I shaved my legs and under my arms with a disposable Bic razor that came in a multipack. The shaving foam gives you a smoother shave, prevents nicks and cuts, and moisturizes your legs too- an all rounder product really!

4// Paint Nails- I painted my nails using Rimmel London's Kate Salon Pro nail polish in the shade Soul Session, a minky nude color. I wanted a nude color as I'm still not entirely sure what I'm going to wear!

5// Blow Dry Hair- I find that it's harder to style my hair now that it's shorter, so I blow dried my hair following Rosie's hair tutorial. I will be curling it later, but I find that it's easier to curl when I start out with straight hair. I finished off my hair with a drop of Redken Glass Look Hair Oil to make it shiny and to get rid of fly-aways.

6// Face Prep- I exfoliated with a homemade face scrub made of brown sugar and olive oil, check out a recipe here, and rinsed my face well, making sure I washed all of the sugar off. I toned my face with my L'Oreal Velvet Toner. I finished up by applying my Simple Moisturiser.

Looks pretty gross, but makes your face so glowy!

So that is everything I like to do to treat myself, and pamper myself after a long week at school. I hope you enjoyed!

Fanny Crown Debs Dress Competition

Hey Guys!

As mentioned in a previous post, I was thinking of entering the Fanny Crown debs/prom dress competition, so here is my entry!

I chose a very pretty, classic dress with an empire-type waist line that I think would be great to wear to my Debs in September. The embellishments add a gorgeous bit of sparkle that I think makes it very unique. I thought the beautiful cornflower -blue peep toes and matching nails would offset the cream perfectly, injecting a small hit of color. I also love the bubblegum pink that this MAC lipstick adds. The simple gold bangle is just enough jewelry to wear with this dress, as the embellishment on the dress is enough that you wouldn't need a necklace or long earrings. I hope you like this look!

Check out the contest here!
