The Greek Photo Edit// Week 2

Hey Guys!

So I'm back with my second Greek Photo Diary. I hope you enjoyed the last one, looking back over the pictures of the amazing weather has not made me feel any better about the horrible weather we have here in Ireland at the moment. If it's raining where you live too, then kick back and scroll through these photos where hopefully they will cheer you up and make you think of sunny beaches with turquoise clear water. I know I am!

Feeling tanned ;)

The Ancient City of Cameros

The amazing Tiger Moth in The Valley of the Butterflies in Psinthos

St. Paul's Bay

Me sipping my Pina Colada (In a glass made of ice!) in an Ice Bar in Lindos. It is a -6 degree bar full of ice sculptures, and you have to wear a faux fur-trimmed cloak and gloves to keep you warm!

On the last night I went crazy and got this HUGE waffle with caramel ice cream and caramel sauce. SO GOOD.

So that is the second installment of my Greek photo diary for 2014. I hope you enjoyed, and I will see you all in my next post!

xoxo, Emma

The Greek Photo Edit // Week 1

Hey Guys!

I'm back from a deliciously relaxing fortnight in Rhodes, Greece with my family. I thought instead of doing a very word-heavy post detailing every little thing I did there, I would just do a little photo diary. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Week 1//

An ancient acropolis on the island of Rhodes.

The Old Rhodes Town, a town unlike any other in the world as it is totally enclosed by the huge stone walls.

The amazing view from The Ancient Acropolis of Lindos.

These gorgeous donkeys are called the 'Lindos Taxis' as they carry people to and from the Ancient Acropolis of Lindos. I got a 'taxi' down from the acropolis… it was quite the experience as the town was extremely hilly! My donkey was called Lady Gaga and my sister's was called Tarzan.

So these are a few pics from my first week in Greece. I will do another post with the rest of the pics sometime during the week, so until then, stay tuned!

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream

Hey Guys!

Now you now I love a product that cuts down on my morning routine, who doesn't? This little gem of a  product is something I haven't heard anything about in the blogosphere, but one day it was reduced to €8 in my local pharmacy so I decided to give it a whirl.

Not expecting much, I tried it one day. Wow, this stuff is so cool. I have no idea what it does, but it just makes my skin look good. I blend a little on my nose where things can get a little red and my pores like to come out and play occasionally, and also just a little on the area around my nose and under my eyes. It smoothes out the whole area, making it look flawless. I then apply a little concealer on my dark circles, and it blends in immediately over this product, meaning no tugging or anything. LOVE.

I would definitely recommend giving this product a try, it is one of those amazing products where you don't know how it works, it just works really well! One little thing… the texture is so odd. I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that, but it just sort of splats out of the tube. Weird.

Have you heard of this product before? What do you think of it?

My Holiday Reading List

Hey Guys!

When I go on holidays- I'm in Greece at the moment- I read a lot. And I mean a lot. And that's when I'm going for one week, so this time I'm prepared for a reading extravaganza. I'm actually going to buy one or two more books in the airport, which I may report back on when I come home on the 23rd. So, here is my Holiday Reading List.

Allegiant (Veronica Roth)// The last in the Divergent series, I'm halfway through and I am loving it. This series is one of the best I have read, and I am obsessed with the movie too. Does anyone know when it comes out on DVD actually? I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about this dystopian fiction series due to the movie, but long story short, it is set in America in the future, after the country has been ravaged by a war and been 'repaired' by implementing a genetically curing system in society. Absolutely FAB.

The Fault In Our Stars (John Green)// Nothing much to say about this, but I am prepared to cry.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire (Cassandra Clare)// SO excited to read this… I have read the rest of the series and it is right up my street. Fiction done excellently.

Beauty (Louise Mensch)// This is one of those 'don't have to think too hard' books that I think will be a perfect poolside read. It sounds very Gossip Girl-esque, so I am excited to read it. It is also an author I've never heard of so I'm looking forward to potentially finding a new fave.

Vogue// Do I really have to justify this? ;)

I hope to pick up the new book in "The Selection" series and maybe Binky Felstead's autobiography in the airport so fingers crossed they have them.
I have scheduled a few posts for the next fortnight while I'm away, so hopefully everything goes to plan and I will also be back to uploading videos. Finally.

My Holiday Makeup Bag

Hey Guys!

I am quite minimalistic on the whole makeup front on a day to day basis, but especially when I go abroad. With all of the heat, pool time and delicious food, who has time to do a whole face of makeup complete with primer and foundation? Maybe some people, but not me. I opt for the basics, and I thought some of you might be interested in what I pack for my holidays.. which are today!

Face// Maybelline Matte Maker Pressed Powder… to keep shine at bay.

Eyes// Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara… to add definition.
Smashbox Full Exposure Palette… for a bit of dinner time fanciness ;)

Lips// Nivea Vanilla & Macademia Lip Butter… to prevent dried out lips.
Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea… to add a hit of color, also for dinner time.
Nivea Sun Protect SPF 30 Lip Balm… Gotta protect those lips!

As for tools, here are my picks:

MAC 116… for powder.
MAC 217… for applying and blending eyeshadow.
Blank Canvas Cosmetics E25/E26 Duo Brush… for applying and a little extra eyeshadow blending.

There you have it, my holiday makeup bag for a sunshine holiday. I am going to London in August so I will probably do an updated City break version of this post before then. I hope you are all enjoying your summer, and I will chat to you soon.

Shopping the Zara sales...

Hey Guys!

Now I know I'm not the only one in love with the Zara sale, right? They aren't like Topshop- just putting out the pieces that no one wants, and at a high price too, might I add. Zara put out some great stuff, and that great stuff always seems to fall straight into my shopping basket. Oops. To give you an example of some of the stuff I have picked up in the Zara sale, both on and offline, I put together a little OOTD of three items I recently bought.

Jumper, Skort and Cuffed Heeled Sandals all from Zara

How much did I save, you ask? Well the whole outfit rings in at €55.97, and originally would have cost me €82.93. That means I saved €27. Score.

Now please excuse me as I go spend that €27 on more Zara clothing. See you on the flip side.

xoxo, Emma
