BEUTiFi/ Wet N Wild Brunch

Hey Guys!

On Saturday I went to my first ever brunch. It was to celebrate the launch of, a new online hub where you can find beauty and hair services near your area with the click of a button. Their aim is to make sure that you can get your dose of hair and beauty no matter where you live in Ireland, for whatever occasion. The brunch was in association with Wet N Wild  and we got a look at their Pop Art Collection, which is in stores now.

The brunch was held in the Clarion Hotel, and we were presented with a delicious brunch of pastries, apple juice and orange juice, chocolate covered strawberries and the most delicious decorated marshmallows. We all tucked in whilst swatching the various Wet N Wild products laid out in the middle of the table. Their new trio palettes are amazing, but not for the faint hearted!

Lisa from Pink Sugar Hairstyling was on hand to show us how to do a 5 minute curly hairstyle, courtesy of some lovely looking ponytails, as well as the ever-popular fishtail braid. Makeup artist Sarah Jane Lanagan was also there to show us the main beauty trends that will feature in the coming season; the berry lip, winged liner, and a subtly contoured face.

We were all treated to a goodie bag, the contents of which I shall be reviewing once I've had the opportunity to test them all out, as well as a gift card for, allowing us to pay for a service of our choice. I might save it up for a night out and get my makeup done!

With the lovely Cat.

I would thoroughly recommend checking out the website as the concept is so new and definitely something that the Irish will lap up happily!

CHANEL Beauty Haul

Hey Guys!

As you may know, my debs was on Tuesday, so I got my makeup done in Chanel. You can redeem the price of the makeup against one product, but being the makeup junkie that I am, I went for two products! I chose the new Vitalumiere Powder Foundation and the Lip Crayon in Orange Intense.

The makeup artist used the powder foundation as a setting powder on me, but I thought that it would be the perfect foundation on me as I don't need too much coverage, and it's basically a two in one, meaning that the time I spend getting ready is shortened! I'm in the shade 20, and I darken it up a bit with my Hoola bronzer. The little kabuki brush that comes with the powder is the cutest thing ever, and it does a great job of buffing in the product to create a flawless finish. If you want to see me using this foundation, check out my new video, where I show you my night out makeup.

The makeup artist used this lip crayon on me, and I fell in love with the creamy formula and vibrant color. She lined my lips with this and topped it off with the lipstick in Secret. I am lacking in the lip liner department so I thought I would get the lip pencil to pop into my clutch for the night. You get a little lip brush on one end of the pencil, and you also get a sharpener.

There is my little Chanel haul for you, I was a bit naughty to have splurged on these, but I got my hair done in Peter Marks for free so I thought I deserved it!

Autumn Wishlist 2014

Hey Guys!

I have been lusting after plenty of things lately, so I thought I'd put them all into one Polyvore set so you can look (and lust) too. Some of these things are way out of my budget, like the Jimmy Choo boots, but a girl can dream, right?

My MAC Lipstick Collection

Hey Guys!

When I came up with the idea for this post, I was like yeah I have 4 or 5 MAC lipsticks. Turns out, I have 3. Still a lot by some people's standards, but I'm still quite shocked that I've remained this strong whilst browsing the heaven that is the MAC lipstick section. Anywho, I thought I'd give you guys a little run through of my (mini) MAC lipstick collection.

Impasssioned// I got this via the Back 2 MAC scheme where you bring back 6 empty MAC containers and swap them for a lipstick. This amplified bright fuchsia color is ideal for spring and summer, but I'm thinking of wearing it during fall and winter to add a bit of fresh color. This formula is pretty moisturizing too, although not quite as much as the lustre finishes.

Viva Glam Cyndi// My first lipstick purchase from the brand, I bought this because I was #FeelingSpendy. Fifteen year old me was like yeah of course I need this, and it turns out, I do. It's a creamy raspberry color with a lustre finish meaning it moisturizes the lips while providing a pop of color. I haven't worn this as much as I should, but I feel like giving it an outing sometime soon.

Ruby Woo// I bought this a few Christmasses ago because it went with the outfit I was planning on wearing on Christmas Day. No drugstore brands for me, I went right in with the MAC. This true red lipstick is a retro matte so if you want any color to come off on your lips, prep with a good lip balm and a lip liner first. This stuff is pretty long lasting, it even lasted the whole way through a three-course Christmas feast. The true sign of a good lippy.

If you can't already tell by this post, I'm a bit of an impulse buyer. Can be a good thing, but can also be a bad thing like when I buy pretty shoes even though they're too small for me. Cut-out Zara boots, I'm looking at you! I have a few more natural colors from MAC on my shopping list, so they may be coming up in a future haul!

Boohoo AW14 Event

Hey Guys!

I went to my first press day on Tuesday, and it was interesting to say the least! It was held in The Lost Society, a great venue that I've been in a few times. I met my friend Rachel there (blog here), and I also made some new friends; Zoë and Hannah (check out their blogs here, and here). We had a wander around the railings of Fall- ready clothes that have me lusting after the cold weather and crispy leaves that Autumn/ Winter brings.

Coming up in Boohoo's new collection is plenty of tartan, bohemian style prints, some varsity influences and loads of sequins!

I was particularly taken with this faux fur coat which reminds me of Sully from Monsters Inc.!

At the event you could get your nails done, fill up at the Pick 'N Mix station and take a picture with the huge Instagram frame, which of course we did!

Zoë, Rachel and I then headed out to take some outfit photos on Zoë's amazing Canon 600D camera (Santa, if you're reading this, I want one pleaseeee!) before sitting down with a much needed white hot chocolate from Butler's. The outfit pictures will be shown in an OOTD post soon, so until then here's a little Behind The Scenes shot that Rachel took.

What's In My School/College Bag?

Hey Guys!

I didn't get to film this for my YouTube Channel, so I thought I would do a quick post about it. My bag, which you'll have seen in my haul, is from Zara. It is ideal for college as it is big enough to carry a laptop and a few notebooks, as well as being sturdy enough to last me the whole year, and longer hopefully!

Here's what's in the main bag:

Pencil Case// Urban Outfitters
Laptop// Macbook Pro
Notebook// Oxford Notebooks
Red Document Folder// Jack Wills
Organiser// Paperchase

I also have this little black pouch from an old handbag that I thought would be perfect for keeping my phone, purse, etc. in to keep them safe.

Phone// iPhone 4s
Soap & Glory Hand Food
Purse// River Island
Lip Balm// Carmex Lime Twist
Inhaler (#asthmaproblems)
Hand Sanitiser// Carex
Tin with bobby pins & hair bobbins
Card Holder// Cath Kidston

So that is what's in my bag! Don't forget to check out my newest video that went live today. I put a lot of effort into it, so please give it some love!

August Random Favourites!

Hey Guys!

So here are my non-beauty and fashion faves for the month of August.

London: I keep talking about it, but I just had the most amazing time there! You can see what I got up to, as I vlogged the whole trip over on my YouTube Channel, so go check those out! I am determined to go live in London for a year after college; I just love it so much!

Back To School: This could be quite a controversial fave, but seriously how much fun is stationary shopping? I will be starting college in mid- September so I have been shopping up a storm to get prepared. Of course, I needed a new handbag, new shoes and a few new key pieces of clothing that will keep me cosy, comfy and well- put together! Check out my haul on my Youtube Channel (follow the link up above) to see what bits and pieces I picked up!

Youtube & Blogging: August in particular was a good month for me, I finally sorted out an upload schedule for my YT and blog after 2 and a half years (whoops!) and I have been feeling pretty inspired to upload better content for you guys. I hope you've been enjoying my more regular upload schedule. I am also getting pretty excited for Halloween this year, so if you have any requests for tutorials, leave a comment here or over on my YT.

Courgetti: This is essentially courgette/zucchini that has been spiralized using a, yep you guessed it, spiralizer. You can use it instead of spaghetti in dishes like spaghetti Bolognese etc. My sister and I invested in one of these bad boys and courgetti with prawns and a tomato sauce has now been added to our weekly dinner menu. GOOD STUFF.

So these have been my random favorites from August, I hope you enjoyed reading about them, and I will talk to you soon!

August Beauty & Fashion Favourites!

Hey Guys!

I felt like an August Favourites was in order as I haven't done one in ages, and unlike other months, I actually have some new products to show you.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder: My new holy-grail powder. I'll definitely have to pick up a lighter shade for the winter, but for now I'm loving using this delicious smelling, glow-inducing powder in the shade 56 Light Bronze.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream: You probably know how I feel about this relatively unknown product. I Love It. It smoothes out my complexion, creating a blank canvas for the rest of my makeup. Topped with concealer and a touch of powder, you'd never know I wasn't wearing foundation.

MAC Eyeliner in Teddy: Ooh, this is just a gorgeously autumn-y color, the shade the leaves turn before falling off the trees. A russety color with a hint of gold that I have been sporting on my lids since I bought it in the airport in July.

H&M blue jeggings: First off, I hate the word 'jeggings', but I love these ones. I have been wearing these non-stop (in between washes, obviously), cuffing them at the ankle, and they go with pretty much everything. Dress 'em up, dress 'em down, these babies are here to stay.

Converse All-Star Mono White Low Tops: These are so pretty. I wore them for the first time in London, fully expecting them to leave my feet in bits (having not been previously broken in), but upon returning to the hostel after a long day of tourist-ing, my feet were quite happy. And they are very pretty. Did I already say that?

There you have my beauty & fashion faves for August 2014. Seriously, how is it September all ready? My Random & Life faves will be up on Friday, as well as my new video, so keep an eye on my Twitter to see when they go live.

xoxo, Emma
