Rimmel Scandaleyes Xtreme Mascara

Hey Guys!

Today I'll be giving you the low-down on my current mascara fave; Rimmel Scandaleyes Xtreme. The packaging is what really caught my eye, I mean it's neon coral, so that's not hard to do! This mascara is definitely one that ages well; it works better for me when it's a little drier.

The wand is really interesting as on one side you have the lengthening side which is a slim, standard plastic wand that you can really wiggle into the base of the lashes to achieve great length. The other side is curved, allowing you to layer up for a good bit of volume that is always welcome in my books!

This is the best mascara I've used in a while, as I've been trying some that are much more lengthening and separating than curling and volumising, the latter being a quality I way prefer in a mascara.

My Go-To Vegan Pancake Recipe

Hey Guys!

I thought I'd do something a little bit different on the blog today; a recipe. I love cooking and baking, and I actually already have a health food blog with my sister, but I've only ever posted one recipe on this blog. It was a salted caramel hot chocolate recipe from a few years ago, I think, but I wanted to share my recipe for the perfect vegan pancakes with you all today.

These are so fluffy and the batter can be whipped up in about 3 minutes. The longest part is the cooking process, but that can't be helped! The pancakes are processed sugar free, vegan, and can be gluten free if so desired, and topped with maple syrup and a few berries, you really can't go wrong.

1 cup flour (I used 1/2 gluten free and 1/2 wholegrain spelt)
1 teaspoon baking powder (omit if using self-raising flour)
Small pinch of salt
1 cup almond milk, or milk of choice
2 tablespoons olive or melted coconut oil
2 tablespoons liquid sweetener of choice (I used maple syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
Heat a frying pan with a little bit of oil (I prefer coconut oil), before lowering the pan down to a medium heat when the oil has melted fully.
Pour a tablespoonful of batter onto the pan and flip when bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look dry.

Cook for another minute on the other side before sliding onto a plate.

Repeat with the rest of the pancakes until all of the batter is gone.

Serve with maple syrup and some fresh berries.
